Hijos de Antonio Barceló Winery

Hijos de Antonio Barceló is a historic Spanish wine company with roots dating back to 1876, when Antonio Barceló founded the enterprise in Málaga. Over more than a century of history, the group has evolved into one of the most diversified wine structures in Spain, with a presence in some of the country's most prestigious appellations. In the Valdeorras Denominación de Origen, the group's activity is expressed through the El Aeronauta label, a project that reflects the company's commitment to the authentic expression of the Galician terroir. Valdeorras, nestled in the interior of Galicia and crossed by the Sil River, is one of the most distinctive wine regions in northwestern Spain, renowned especially for its Godello whites and Mencía reds grown on slate soils that lend a characteristic minerality and aromatic depth rarely found elsewhere. The group also has a presence in other iconic appellations, including Ribera del Duero under the Secreto label, Rueda with Donas 1265, and the Jerez region, reflecting a multi-regional philosophy centred on the diversity of terroirs and the pursuit of quality in each denomination according to its own distinct criteria. In 2021, the company was renamed Entrecanales Domecq e Hijos following the consolidation of control by this family, marking a new chapter in the group's history without abandoning the legacy built over nearly a century and a half. The winery maintains its commitment to crafting wines that faithfully express their origin, combining tradition and modern winemaking technique in the service of the land.
