“A serious, aromatic rosé from Toro DO — red berry, citrus and anise on the nose with a long, fresh finish and genuine terroir character.”

Nose
Delicate red berries — raspberry and wild strawberry — alongside fresh citrus peel, fennel-like anise and a subtle floral lift that adds refinement and complexity.
Palate
Rich, slightly rounded mouthfeel courtesy of oak fermentation, underpinned by lively acidity; mid-palate flavours of raspberry, grapefruit and anise are seamlessly integrated and expressive.
Finish
Long, taut and persistently aromatic finish, with red fruit and spice lingering in equal measure — a hallmark of the Perlarena style.
The Perlarena Rosé 2024 is one of the most compelling expressions to emerge from Dominio del Bendito, a small but highly regarded estate in the Toro DO founded in 2004 by French vigneron Antony Terryn. Known predominantly for powerful, structured reds, the winery turns its philosophy of minimal intervention and honest winemaking to a rosé that defies expectations — serious, aromatic and genuinely food-friendly.
Crafted via direct pressing and fermented in French oak barrels, the Perlarena Rosé develops a textural depth rarely found in wines of this style. No decanting is required, though a short rest in bottle allows the wine's anise-driven aromatic character to fully unfold. At 13.5% vol, this is a rosé with presence — neither shy nor overblown, but beautifully balanced.
On the nose, the 2024 vintage offers an elegant and well-defined bouquet of discreet red berries — raspberry and wild strawberry — layered with fresh citrus, fennel-like anise notes and a delicate floral lift. The mouthfeel is rich and slightly rounded, a hallmark of the oak fermentation, while crisp acidity provides energy and prevents any sense of heaviness. The finish is long, fresh and persistently aromatic, circling back to fruit and spice in equal measure.
Serve between 9–12°C for optimal expression. The Perlarena Rosé 2024 pairs beautifully with grilled sea bass or turbot, rice dishes with vegetables, a charcuterie spread with quality cured meats, or a selection of fresh and semi-cured cheeses. It also shines as a standalone aperitif, particularly in warmer months.

The Winery
Founded in 2004
Dominio del Bendito is an independent winery established in 2004 within the Toro Denominación de Origen (Zamora, Spain), born from the passion of French winemaker and viticulturist Antony Terryn, with the support of his own family and the Schuller family. Terryn arrived in the region in 2003, introduced by his fellow Frenchman Jean François Hébrard, winemaker at Quinta Quietud, who encouraged him to settle in this exceptional land. The name "Bendito" — meaning blessed or happy in Spanish — perfectly encapsulates his personal journey of discovery. From the outset, Antony conceived his Dominio as a palette of terroirs: he carefully acquired small plots in one of the finest pagos in Toro and indeed all of Spain, La Jara, with the goal of composing his wines much like a painter before a canvas, always seeking to express the truest character of the land. Today the estate encompasses 21 hectares of Tinta de Toro, 80% of which are over 85 years old, including vines planted in the 19th century before the phylloxera outbreak. In terms of winemaking philosophy, the estate has practised organic viticulture from the very beginning, using traditional techniques, minimal sulphur and plant extracts, without enzymes or technological corrections. They draw inspiration from biodynamic practices they find meaningful, always prioritising vineyard balance and the authentic expression of Tinta de Toro. Among their most acclaimed wines are El Titán and Las Sabias, sourced from century-old vines and regarded as benchmarks for the region; Primer Paso, a superb introduction to Toro — powerful yet with a rustic, earthy character; and the rosé Perlarena, crafted from Tinta de Toro, Syrah and Verdejo, offering fresh and aromatic notes of raspberry, mandarin, grapefruit and anise. The winery produces between 60,000 and 70,000 bottles per vintage, standing among the most profound and elegant red wines of D.O. Toro.
